Paul Krekorian did a brilliant and gracious thing at his inauguration on Sunday. After speeches from local and statewide political heavyweights ranging from Mayor Villaraigosa to Assembly Leader Karen Bass, Paul had 3 local community activists (John Walker, Judy Price, and Abby Diamond) speak immediately prior to his swearing in. It was a nod of thanks for the efforts of the many and a welcome indicator of the Councilmember's priorities. Here is the segment with Abby Diamond speaking.
